Living in the suburb of Bergen, there are nice places to hike right outside of my window. If decide to hike somewhere else, it takes between a half and one hour to get there. This weekend, however, we decided to spend in a cabin on Hardangervidda, a mountain plateau, something norwigian people do quite reguarly. It is understanable thoug, seeing some different, even more wild nature than at home is nice. Just look at the pictures! (All taken with a mobile phone, and some throug the car window.)
As you can see it was very autumnal colors, because we were so much higher up the weather was a lot colder than in Bergen. Saturday morning it was about 5 degrees celsius. And it didn't get very much warmer.

Look at those colors! |
In Norway a lot of the hiking paths are marked with red T's, that means it is a official path you can find on your map. That been said, there are path that are not marked that are usable as well.

A red T, that marks the path. |
The cabin we stayed at is called U-Heimen, and belongs to the university in Bergen. My dad works there as a mathematican, so we were able to rent it. The area is called Usteroset.

This is the cabin we were staying at. |
While staying there we of course had to hike, even thoug it only lasted 3 hours. Lukcily it didn't rain while we were hiking.
|
This is what I would call a very nowigian scenery. |
Something very special about the 5 hour long car journey from Bergen to Usteroset was the roundabouts inside the mountain.

Straigt from bridge... |

...to tunnel-roundabout. |
And well, since we live on the west coats of Norway, of cource it had to rain. A lot!
